Joseph Kortan

Field Geologist

Joe joined EVREN Northwest in 2025 after several years supervising environmental remediation projects across Oregon. With a geology background and strong field experience, he’s amassed hands-on experience with soil, groundwater, and air sampling, and heating oil tank decommissioning. At EVREN, Joe performs a variety of environmental fieldwork while ensuring safety, compliance, and clear communication.

Outside of work, Joe explores the Pacific Northwest through hiking and camping, often seeking out new trails and geologic features. He’s also a regular at local comedy shows and enjoys practicing ceramics—finding the same satisfaction in shaping clay as he does in crafting a well-executed field report.
