Paul Trone

Senior Geologist 

As a senior member of EVREN Northwest’s staff, Paul has 26 years of experience managing Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS), and Remedial Actions (RAs) at a wide variety of sites, e.g., commercial, manufacturing, lumber mills, bulk fuel storage, highway maintenance, landfills, and brownfields, in Oregon, Washington, California, and Hawaii.

His services have benefited both public and private sector clients, covering diverse business concerns in pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, automotive, recycling, property development, transportation, petroleum, communications, public works, agri-business, food products, banking, retail, and schools. He provided these services under state and federal oversight.

In his spare time, Mr. Trone enjoys riding his bicycle to work (or some distal destination), tinkering with cars, and hiking or backpacking while exploring the geologic marvels of the Pacific Northwest.

Erik Chapman

Associate Geologist

Erik has more than 19 years of comprehensive environmental investigation and cleanup experience. At EVREN, he is responsible for the implementation and management of various environmental investigation and compliance projects for a wide range of private, municipal, and commercial clients. This is bolstered by his extensive field investigation experience supporting Phase II ESAs, Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS), and compliance audits. Erik's professional experience includes the investigation and oversight of numerous wide-ranging cleanup projects including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments; Risk-Based Assessments; and environmental compliance and permitting.

Erik's experience includes investigations for defining the magnitude and extent of contaminant plumes, evaluation of environmental data, contaminant transport and statistical computer modeling, preparing human health risk assessments, including development of conceptual site models for evaluating human-health and ecological risk; remedial investigation/feasibility studies for evaluating long-term, cost effective remedial options; and development of corrective action plans. 

Environmental compliance projects conducted by Erik have included preparation of Hazardous Materials Business Plans, Spill Prevention, Control, and Counter-measure (SPCC) Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SPPP), and Contaminated Media Management Plans (CMMPs). His permitting experience includes preparation of Underground Injection Control (UIC), National Pollution Elimination Discharge System (NPDES), Fire Marshal UST Decommissioning, Right-Of-Way Encroachment and Lane Closure Permits and hazardous waste manifesting.

As a former professional ski instructor and an avid fly fisherman, Erik enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and three children pursuing outdoor experiences on the mountains and rivers of the Northwest.
